Denon has launched the new DHT-S217 soundbar

When it comes to highly affordable price gear I always happy to speak about them, the new DENON soundbar is coming with Dolby Atmos 2.1, Bluetooth and integrated down-firing subwoofers. Fully compatible with the latest 4K TVs, the built-in 4K UHD HDMI, 1 in/1 out with Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) it has a dimension of (mm) 890 x 120 x 67 (in) 35 x 4.7 x 2.6 for only (kg) 3.6 (lb) 7.94 weight, so Strawweight UFC category will probably be the most suitable.

To be honest, I have never been a fan of Dolby Atmos on soundbar since getting the Dolby Atmos to work properly on a high-end system is already difficult, so I can't imagine it on a soundbar, and in addition we also find an integrated subwoofer, which makes me think that in Denon they are either crazy or they are geniuses!

But since I've always been a big fan of the DENON brand I wouldn't really like to test it. I still remember my old AVC-X6500H receiver which paved the way for me in the much loved world of Home Theater.

All you need to improve your TV audio and not only!

In addition to wireless streaming we also find interesting features such as, Dialog Enhancer to improve dialogue clarity Turning up the dialogue without having to adjust the overall volume and four different sound modes: Movie, Night, Music, and Pure so you can choose the perfect mode for any occasion.

An intuitive remote control and the possibility of hanging the Soundbar on the wall complete the whole packet.

The Denon DHY-S217 soundbar will launch first in Japan in “late April”, with other regions to follow in May, priced at $249.00 (€269). For more info please visit the Denon website.
