Estelon X Centro Mk II — The Mad Audio

The new Estelon X Centro Mk II and X Centro Diamond MkII are now avaiable! X centro design is based on Estelon XC Model and offering two variants, the Estelon X Centro Mk II comes with a ceramic inverted dome tweeter, and the Estelon X Centro Diamond Mk II comes with a diamond tweeter, and like all X Series models, it uses high-quality drivers designed and produced by the German driver manufacturer Thiel & Partner GmbH (Accuton).

The two 158 mm (7 inches) ceramic mid-woofers provide an exceptionally clean impulse response with extraordinarily low total harmonic distortion (THD) and intermodulation distortion (IMD). The ceramic 25 mm (1 inch) inverted dome alpha corundum tweeter keeps the distortion exceptionally low, and the first break-up modes are pushed out of the audible range, while the diamond 25 mm (1 inch) chemical vapour-deposited “diamond membrane” tweeter from Accuton can reproduce sounds up to 60 kHz, with no distortions in the human hearing range, claim Estelon.

ESTELON X CENTRO MKII CROSSOVER

The X Centro Mk II crossover is revised and it features new and improved resistors and capacitors that offer a wider dynamic range and greater transparency. The new internal cabling is provided by Kubala-Sosna. All filter components are connected directly, via point-to-point techniques, hand-soldered with high-quality silver solder, while using the shortest possible cable runs between drivers, crossover and binding posts.
